Faced with an unforgiving desert climate, architect Rick Joy has gone back to basics, opting for an ultra-simple design solution and even simpler materials. Working with rammed mud and weathered steel Joy has created a home which appears modern, but on closer inspection, there is something elemental and, well, earthy about Desert Nomad House.
